Mornington Peninsula Vignerons Spring Tasting
On 3 September 2019 Mornington Peninsula Vignerons will be on tour, hosting an invitation only trade tasting followed by a consumer event in the stunning Sunroom at the Ivy, George St, Sydney.
This spring tasting will be predominantly promoting the region’s Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris among the group of 22 wineries, who have new stories to tell, new wines to share and people to meet. The combination of powerhouse pioneers, winemakers, owners, legends and the ‘next-generation’ with their own ambitious aspirations includes Ten Minutes by Tractor, Merricks Estate, Port Philip Estate, Yabby Lake, Kooyong, Scorpo, Willow Creek, Paradigm Hill, Main Ridge Estate, Paringa Estate, Hand Picked, Ocean 8, Polperro, Stonier Estate, Crittenden Estate, Miceli, Quealy, Kerri Greens, Montalto, Moorooduc, Tucks and Foxey’s Hangout.
The Mornington Peninsula is less than an hour’s drive south-east of Melbourne and enjoys a cool, maritime climate, which is evident in the world-class wines it produces. These award-winning wines are predominantly from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, although some cool-climate styles of Shiraz and Pinot Grigio/Gris are also produced. With smaller, family-run wineries dominating the wine scene in this small region, the focus is on quality, character, elegance and longevity.
